using symmetry in CORRUGATED Plate 1

My model has a beam with corrugated Web (using two L-Shape instead of Plain web) (attached picture). Because of big dimension, I’m going to use Symmetry. But is it possible when Web is not plain along the symmetry axis??

I mean if I suppose the nodes only on the black area as an axis of symmetry, is it true?
 
That would be true as long as there are no forces in the lateral direction. I've tested a simple beam in Abaqus and it does have some built-in buckling algorithm. So if you're loading it and expecting lateral buckling then symmetry is not appropriate.

Symmetry is OK if the two parts are exactly the same and the loading would be exactly symmetrical.

Symmetry is nothing more than a constraint to move in a plane. So moving along the plane is fine, but if you expect to move through the plane of symmetry, you'll have unrealistic results.
