Using through curves derived from solid to unite to said solid 1

I derived a through curve using a 2D open edge for Section 1 and a 3d open edge for Section 2 that connect to each other at the open "ends" of each section. The through curve combined with the body of the edges thus encloses a volume, and I can't figure out how to turn that through curve enclosed volume into a solid united with the main body (from which the edges were taken). I've selected Solid under Body Type but it reverts to sheet (guessing because the Through Curve isn't enclosed, even though it is enclosed by the solid body) as well as just about every option in the Surface tab after creating the sheet (I'm a recent MechE grad and don't have a ton of CAD experience outside of the basics, just starting to get the hang of using sheets and multi-axis curved surfaces). I was able to do a simple workaround since it's not a critical feature for this part but I spent too much time trying to figure this out to give up, so any help is greatly appreciated! That's exactly what I was looking for! I'll play around with that feature, never used (or noticed) it before.
