V5 Equivalent to V4 Curve2 æcurve-curveÆ 1

It’s been a couple of years since using V4 but I need to create a surface which is completely controlled. ‘GSD multi-section surface’ doesn’t seem to allow me to select guide curves or limiting curves, just 1 spine.

Which option under Multi-Section Surface are you selecting?

What License do you have? You need to have a GSD License, which means you either need an HD2 or you need to have GSD added to your MD2 configuration. There are other configrations that include this as well.

Licenses are MD2 + GSD2.

I think you mean GSD. (Generative Shape Design 2)

If that's the case, you have all of the functionality you need to make a multi-section surface.

What exactly is happening that leads you to believe that you cannot select guide curves? (limit curves are not an option in multi-section)

The GSD Multi-Section Surface Definition box defaults to Section Curves first - see the top line of the top white box is a solid dark line. Select the curves.

To define the Guide Curves, left click the top line of the second white box - to activate it, now the Guide Curves can be selected.

If a Spine is to be used then click Spine and click on No selection before actually selecting the curve to use as a spine.

Thanks Guys. The problem was as simple as activating the ‘guide curves’ box. I need a V5 surfacing course.
