Has anybody written a set up procedure for using the Hipotronics 7BT60 that they could share with me? I have to write one up but Hipotronics doesnt have a manual for the set up. I know its a simple process but would like to see what other utilities use for a procedure. Thanks

All that will tell you is a go-no go result. Why not use a test that can tell you the actual condition and estimated remaining life of your VI's?

The 7BT60A was designed specifically for VB testing. It uses a center tapped transformer secondary with two 30 kV coils phased oppositely for 0 - 60 kVac between them. There is no usable ground reference like a traditional AC hipot where one lead is ground and the other is 0 - 60 kVac, a much more versatile design. The 7BT60A has two leads that are inserted into the electrodes from the transformer stored in the bottom of the enclosure. One goes to one side of a floating bottle and the other goes to the other side. neither one should be grounded. hit the start button, the voltage rises to the preset level and then holds for the timer preset, usually 60 seconds. The bottle holds or fails.
