What are good options for vacuum measurement on a distillation column in the 5 to 20 torr range. The distillation column is small (10 inch dia; used for batch distillation of non-edible oils) & the measuring instrument is self standing. i.e. Not a part of a DCS / PLC / Control Loop etc.
Only a local operator needs to access the reading. Both analog / digital options are OK.
Accuracy requirements are very modest: A 2 torr accuracy is sufficient.
What options would people recommend? In the past the site has used mercury manometers which were working quite well. But now that the time for replacement has come I'm just re-evaluating all options.
PS. Are there aneroid / Bourdon type gauges that will work in the 5 to 20 torr range?
