Hello everyone

I have a quick question we are upgrading a oven for composite curing and we are setting up 8 vacuum sources. The plan is to use steel pipe (straight pipe, T’s and elbows) to make a manifold that will be inside the oven during cure. Do you guys see any issue with having the manifold be inside the oven during cure? manly concerned with leaks due continued thermal cycling of the manifold assembly.

Expected cure temp would be 360 deg F, manifold is made all from steel.

Alternative would be to use copper pipe brazed although I prefer steel to make the connections sturdy.

Appreciate your help

Steel has CTE 8-12 and max service temp of 1000 F, so material wise it should be fine.
