Valve body for nuclear work

I used to read from a book that A217 Gr.C5 (5%Cr-0.5%Mo) is not acceptable for nuclear work, but A217 Gr.WC9 (2.25%Cr-1%Mo) is acceptable. Can anyone describe about the reason?

You have got to start reading from better books....

The materials that you refer to are typically found in cast carbon steel components.... (valve bodies, for example,would be made from A217 ).

Cast materials approved for use in ASME Section III Nuclear Power systems, are listed in ASME Section II. All cast ASME approved nuclear power materials begin with the "SA" prefix. "SA" indicates compliance with ASME ....."A" prefix indicates an ASTM material (In many cases the materialis the same)

Do you think that the context from this book is incorrect? I used to understand like your reply. However, I'm not sure about ASME Section III. I'm familiar only ASME Section VIII and B31.3.
