Does anyone have a good document on QA/QC for valve casting radiography? I'm trying to write one for my company and it is difficult decyphering the various standards. THANKS

I'd suggest ASME B16.34 as a good place to start. Annex Bn lists radiographic acceptance standards, and refers to some ASTM documents that may be helpful (E94, E142). Figures 6-14 show typicla valve casting sections requiring radiography.

I hope this helps.

I suggest the following document from the Manufacturers Standardization Society. SP-54 Quality Standard for Steel Castings for Valves, Flanges, and Fittings and Other Piping Components - Radiographic Examination Method
