Hello,
When working with valves, I have yet to comfortably understand industry standards with face to face dimensions on valves.
Generally, as I understand it, gate valves should have the same face to face dimensions from any manufacturer. Some other valves, like ball valves, can have the same face to face as gates so they can be swapped out. Does anybody have or know of a quick reference for valve face to face dimensions that would give information such as:
Gate valve F2F same by all manufacturers.
Globe valve F2F same by all manufacturers.
Butterfly valve F2F varies.
Ball valve F2F same by all manufacturers and long pattern same as gate valve.
etc.
I understand that I probably shouldn't say "all" because somewhere there is a valve that doesn't follow an industry standard when most do. However,I would like to know what's the general practice that will be seen a majority of the time.
Let me know if I need to clarify anything.
Thanks! God Bless!
