I am a mech eng placement student currently designing a water recirculation system for a valve testing facility.
The system is a low pressure system (3-4 bar) where water is to come from a primary tank to a pump and fill up a flanged valve to 3-4 bar.
The water is then directed to a sump, where a sump pump recirculates the water back to the original tank.
I was hoping for some advice on the type of pump recommended.
I also have reservations on whether a hydraulic accumulator is needed or not to provide steady state flow into the valve; ie the flow rate to shoot up to maximum and provide large back pressure to the system and pump if one is not used.
Thanks,
Ben
