Valve Test Pressure

Hi guys,
I will be glad if someone can let me know if there is any API standard which requires the test pressure of any assembly to be multiplied by 2 or 1.5

API 598 has a shell test for valves at 1.5 the rated pressure. I believe API 6D has this as well. I do not know of any standard that test at double the rated pressure.

Not sure if this answers your question. what do you mean by "any assembly" that is a bit vague.

Most API standards requires testing. A good start would be API-6A.
