Hello Everyone ,
I want to calculate the vapor pressure of a liquid hydrocarbon mixture and it's boiling point . Just wondering what equations should I use ? Right now I'm using Raoult's and clausius equations for VP but the result doesn't seems right . I have mole fractions and all the other input values .
Any suggestions on the equations .
Thx a lot !!

For bubble point and dew point calculations of hydrocarbon mixtures I suggest you visit thread798-53610 and thread798-142881.

to start you can adopt the same procedures but calculating fugacity of vapor and liquid phase with a EOS such as Peng Robinson or Soave,
this requires some initialization for vapor and liquid compositions (see Wilson correlation for example)
Details are discussed in many books, for example The Properties of Gases & Liquids.

The PR and SRK EOS / other EOS for nonideal mixes involve a great deal of effort; if you want a quick estimation of NBP and vapor pressure for generally non polar hydrocarbon mixes, try using the DePriester K value nomographs.
