I am working on vapor recovery system and there are mixture of gasoline and ethaol. The following describes the system design:
The vapor recovery system will have nitrogen blanketing at each tank, the vapor recovery system will utilize a vent condenser to condense vapor ethanol and traces of gasoline. Condensate liquid will collect in a vapor recovery separator and a vapor recovery pump will transfer condensate to the Ethanol Product Storage Tank. Since most of the gasoline vapor from the denaturant tank will not condense at chilled water system temperature, gasoline vapor will be routed directly to an activated carbon bed.
There are options that I am considering but they are not the best solutions. this plant does not have air permitting
Any non-condensed gas in the condenser is routed by means of a blower to the activated carbon beds to remove any remaining VOC. Vent gas containing traces of ethanol and gasoline is emitted to ambient air. However, the carbon beds wont be effective for high concentration of gasoline

There are options that I am considering but they are not the best solutions. this plant does not have air permitting to burn any gasoline vapor so combustion and flaring is ruled out.

One option is refrigeration but it is costly.
Does anyone have more information on this?
thanks

I have already contacted these two companies. It requires PSA system which is very expensive for such a small plant.

I guess I don't know what information you are looking for. You have described a condensation and carbon canister system in your initial post. Combustion is not a possiblity and Refrigeration and Carbon PSA are too expensive. Please help me understand what you are looking for.

what do you consider expensive. These vapor recovery projects are driven by environmental regulations - there is no payback. Thus by not installing the unit you face fines and or a shut down. So again I ask, what do you consider expensive?
