Hi All,

Can anyone explain me whats the purpose of adding vapouriser as an accessory in pilot valve usually in cryo application?
Also I need to know whats inside a vapouriser and its working principle?
Whats its role in gas and liquid application?

Example:

Anderson greenwood 249 & 449 pilot has vapouriser as an mandatory accessory.

Can you advise where you get your quoted Anderson Greenwood example from? Please copy.

Please also use the specific Safety Relief Valve Forum next time Thanks.

Per ISO-4126, only the term Safety Valve is used regardless of application or design.

Obturator,

I am working as an Application Engineer (Quotation) in Emerson. Hope you are too from Emerson.

Ok noted, from now onwards I will post PRV related queries in safety relief forum.

Hari Mech I don't work for Emerson (Anderson Greenwood Crosby) but you do. Therefore why are you asking the question for a product made by your company?

Since you have raised it, please advise the forum what it is you are querying and where has the question come from. It can be interesting to be shared.Thanks.

With cryogenic services, any part of the valve internal actuating mechanism must be protected from buildup and freezing of ambient moisture. Heat tracing of some sort may be required to prevent freeze ups and lockup of the valve mechanism..
