Hi to everyone,

I there is someone that can help me. I have an impeller with 78 blades and i want to make the angle variable. if you pattern the blade you will have 360/78 you have 4.61535 each angle of blade. No i want to make this gap to vary with a total amplitude 1 degree. Like the attached graph. each blade has a different angle. I am trying to find a relation to add in the pro/E and i failed until now. Every idea will be helpful. Every 45 degrees i have specific number of blades.

You should be able to write a relation that will vary the increment as you go. There is no attached graph so it's a bit hard to know exactly what you are trying to achieve.

The brute force method is to convert to a table pattern and enter every value by hand but I would hate to do that for 78 blades, particularly if it might change.

Yes i did it already for 78 blades. i did it one by one. The last blade is out per .4 degrees because of the stack up in the last digits. But i would like to find out a relation for example. Do i have to use memb_i = 4.615 + 0.5sin(idx1) where idx1 will be the angle. i don't know. I am lost.

If you do your pattern as an axial pattern you get an option to evenly split the resulting features along a 360 angle (it's the icon to right of increment value) and not screw up your fluid dynamics.

This won't generate the angles but it would be simpler. Now if only Dimensions could be reference patterned.
