VARIABLE TO RETAIN SLECTED SOLID

Is there a variable to retain the subtracted solid object ? DELOBJ isn't it. THAT one only retains lines and curves used to define surface or solid objects.

I need to subtract the same component from a series of other components arranged along the one I want to retain. Making multiple copies of the object to retain is not a prefered approach, but its the one I use currently.

Thoughts ?
