VB.net and Comm Port

ok, I just got VB.Net and need to use the comm ports, I can't find the MS Comm control like in VB 6. I also read somewhere that VB.Net doesn't support using a Comm port. ANy truth to this, if not how do i use comm prts with VB.net. If this is true, what in the hell was Microsoft thinking.

In the 101 VB.Net samples from msdn there is an example of using vb.net and a com port.
