VB search file and open Help required

Hi

I am in need of some VB help.

I need a simple system which will have a search and display function with everything else on the windows screen locked out and have the doc open using a read only version of word 2003.

ideally the system will have a drop down menu containg the names of all the files in specific folder and then when an operator selects an item from this list it open the releavant file in a read only full screen mode doc.

The documents are held in a network folder and are ms word documents.

Any tips would be much appreciated.
