Hi,

I would like to be able to use velocity instead of displacement as a DOF constraint for an acoustics model.

I know that going from displacement to velocity is just a matter of scaling the results, however I haven't found a convenient way of doing this. Anyone have any good tricks?

ye..iam struck with the same problem for over 2 months now...having to use sysnoise..

i know sysnoise can do it

I thought of one way to do it.

You could add a damper element connected to the node you want to excite, connected to ground. If this damper were chosen with a very large coefficient, and a very large force were applied (such that the force was much greater than acoustic reactions forces). You would end up with a constant velocity situation.

It's still a hassle, but it would work.

What does Sysnoise cost/would you recommend it. I do loudspeaker design. FEA is mostly used for waveguides.
