Hello all,

Is there a way to verify the section forces for a transient/dynamic analysis in abaqus? It seems using F=ma, with acceleration from the analysis is not giving me similar results. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

For what kind of elements ? If you just want to make a cut through your model and see the resultant forces, you can use the Free body cut tool.

For both solid and shell elements. I have extracted the section forces, but looking for a way to verify them.

Try with forces obtained with the free body cut tool. It's usually used for such purposes, e.g. to ensure the equilibrium of internal and external forces in static analysis.
