This is the information I got from an OEM. 4.0 CFM looks too low to me. Can someone help me verify it?
Based on evaporation rate of 140 lb/hr at 26”Hg Vacuum, the following is what the vacuum pump should be sized for (this info can be sent to a vacuum pump vendor):
Service Vapor: 60 wt% Ethyl Alcohol, 40 wt% Water (estimated)
Free Dry Air: 1.5 lb/hr
Vapor Temperature: 90ᵒF
Suction Pressure at Vacuum Pump: 1.84 psia
MW: 39.2
Seal Water Temp (if required): 80ᵒF (to be verified)
Volumetric Flow at Vacuum Pump: 4.0 ACFM
