we have to test an household Fan-regulator according to IS9000 Part 8 standard and given Specifications are:-
1 Frequency range 10-150 Hz
2 Amplitude 0.15 mm
3 Sweep cycle 5 Cycle.

I have A machine Which Simple generate Frequency 10-150Hz and a timer in it. I can control frequency and Time only.

Can Anyone explain... or help.....

The Specification looks to be based on a "swept filter" instrument.
They "look" at ~ a single frequency at a time.
They are concerned the highest amplitude of a highly varying vibration might be missed at the moment when the instrument was tuned to look at another frequency.

Sound like your instrument does FFT.

There probably is a way to set the number of samples to average.
Possibly even a "peak hold" function.

Hi Tanks For your Help,

I missed one thing though, that Machine Can Go 10 to 150Hz.

I can Set it on 10,20,30,40 and so On till 200 Hz.

So if i have to do 5 weep cycle with 1 octave per minute, Than Can i Do like 10,20,40,80,160,80,40,20,10 thats Total 8 minute and 1 octave per min?
