On a tower there is a 14" feed nozzle in the cone section. The pipe runs all the way down to the bottom. About 60 feet. Now, the flow is 2 phase and the pipe is going to be vibrating. What precautions do I need to take , what analyses do I need to make to properly secure the pipe to the vessel? The pipe support clip will have fatigue loading and I want to properly design it. If we provide a proper anchor at the bottom, will that solve the problem ? Please direct me to some good reading about this problem.

You're kidding yourself if you think you can solve this problem by reading up on it. You need an experienced engineeer in pipe stress and finite element analysis. The dynamic effects you describe are particularly problematic.

I urge you to get help on this otherwise the consequences could be deadly.

Any recommendations on some good consultants who can analyze this problem for us?
