Are there any standard methods to calculate near field sound pressure levels from vib/acc measurements?

The application I am looking at is an exahust duct (HRSG or SCR) from a combustion turbine generator. Need to seperate out the duct noise from the balance of plant noise - this was one method specified by equipment manufacturer, but their calculation methodology doesn't yield realistic results.

Thanks!

Yes. It's called noise from vibration (NFV) and is a standard procedure, as seen in any good acoustics book. You need to know quite a bit about the system in order to get reasonably accurate results. Cheers
