hi

i'm new to this site and don't know how it works and this is my first question here

I have co-simulated and controlled a full vehicle model in adams/car with matlab/Simulink

how can I get the vibration analysis of the co-simulated model ( with the results of the co simulated model )

when I import the results from matlab into adams/car , I can't perform the vibration analysis of the new results ( controlled vehicle in matlab/Simulink )

for vibration analysis and eigen values for natural frequencies for the full car model itself in adams/car , you just need the script of the test that it has been used in , but when I use controls and add a force for example , to my model , then co-simulate it in matlab , I can't run vibration analysis of the controlled model that I have imported the results into adams/car . would someone please guide me how I can do this ???

appreciate it if you give me a good answer i'm in a pinch

thank you

eigen values etc only have meaning for a linear system. So you need to describe what you actually want as outputs, as you won't get a modal analysis to run.

Hi Greglocock

Thanks for giving an answer so soon .

My problem is that , I can easily do the vibration analysis of the vehicle itself after the test but when I import the results file that is made out of the co-simulation of the MATLAB and Adams/car , I can't do the same vibration analysis because there's no script file for it ( for the controlled or co-simulated model ) …

how can I do the same vibration analysis for the controlled vehicle that is co-simulated in Matlab and then imported it's results into Adams/car ???

These are my main questions …

thank you again

Sorry, I don't use Car and I don't use a script for any vibration analysis. What i do is attach sensors (requests) and analyse the acceleration data in the req files.

would you please elaborate on that ?

how can I do what you do and do the vibration analysis your way ? by the req files I mean …

Since I don't actually know what you are trying to do that is a bit tricky.

I attach a bunch of sensors that look like this,

REQ/51091,ACC,I=10409,J=5309,C=LEFT FRONT SPINDLE ACCEL

Then I run the vehicle over the road of interest

Then I use matlab to turn the req file into something a bit more readable, and extract the acceleration signals. Then I do whatever signal analysis is appropriate.
