I have vendors call on me from time to time and I also get e-mails from people pushing “diagnostic” vibration measuring equipment. One product I've seen on the market is the "Fluke 810 Handheld Vibration Tester". It can supposedly diagnose if there is a bearing issue, unbalance from excessive wear, etc.
Does anyone use devices like these? How accurate are they in terms of diagnosing the issue? I wonder because the machine could (for example) mistake a inadequate support for excessive unbalance. A lot of the (existing) issues I get calls on.....the problem is the support.....not the machine.
Thanks in advance.
