Hi,

Is anyone aware of a public-domain vibration standard suitable for a circuit board of the type that might be housed within an ABS module?

Something the board could be submitted to, to validate the mechanical integrity.

Thanks, Ian

It might be more severe to look at the shock load delivered to the car body from a minor collision than to look at the vibration amplitudes from the road and engine.

Maybe Bosch has some info published for their products.

The OP referred to "validate the mechanical integrity" which is the ESS test that MIL-HDBK-2164A deals with. The ESS is a test that's supposed to weed out infant mortality and workmanship failures, and is therefore a very short and minimal-life-consuming test.

The link I posted addressed the possibility of reducing the ESS test time, while increasing the success rate for finding latent failures.
