Hi,
how would You simulate vibration test with FEM (random+fatigue) of following model:
box structure made of closed profiles with inside tray running on steel wheels on two profiles.
This trolley is prevented from motions in three directions but of course there are clearances in each direction around 1-2 mm. Therefore this trolley can vibrate separately from box. How can I connect it with box for frequency response analysis? Can I include contact in any fe software in frf analysis?

Best regards,
G

You will have to do a non linear analysis. Your frequency response will change with the amplitude of excitation.

You will be in a world of hurt.
