View glass for boiler flame inspection

Dear sir,
Presently we are running a 500 MW boiler of B&W make ,where we are facing tremendous problem of unstability in combustion.Pl guide us for flame stabiliastion.If any other methods are available for flame stabilisation other than viewing through special glass and further adjustment of secondary air dampers pl let me know.
