viewing details

How can I view or browse quickly a huge number of details, about 3500 autocad blocks? these are details I use in my work that I have in a single directory. every time I need one I use autocad open file to browse the details in the adjacent small preview window. I would to find a better way of seeing these details on a full screen with the ability and the flexibility to scan them fast in a difrent ways. i.e. I would like to be able to see on full screen lets say, one, two, four, or more details at a time but very quikly. I am willing to use a seperate viewing program if it exists.

You would do well to separate the directory into subdirectories that contain similar blocks.

what is the "DESIGN CENTER (ADCENTER)" ?
I am not familiar with it.

What version of AutoCAD are you running?

we use Autocad 2000

I skipped 2000, went from 14 to 2002. But if it's the same as 2002, key-in ADCENTER and press enter. A dialog box will come up with a directory structure in one pane and previews in the other. Right-click on the dialog box to adjust settings.
