Hi,

you may save it as flat but why? The .psm will hold both
the flattened part as well as the designed part.
Normally one will save the flattend part only as .dxf
it can however be save as flat as a seperate .part.
(just go to File -> Save as Flat)

How to flatten:

- in the upermost toolbar --> Model
--> Flat Pattern
--> select any face to be oriented upward
--> select an edge to be parallel to the x-axis
and the Origin (tine red circle will show at
the end of the line)
--> Finish
--> Cancel

Now you can save the whole thing as usual. To either
- Model --> Flatt Pattern or Designed

or

to see the flattened part
click on Flatten 1 --> RMB --> Go To

to see the designed part
click on the last feature above Flat Pattern --> RMB --> Go To

You should work one of the tutorial that come with SE
on that topic Help->Tutorials ;-)
