I have a drawing view of an assembly which does not respond to any changes I make to its style. I noticed it when I was trying to set hidden lines to invisible-without success. I have since tried changing line color and weight and "nothing".

I have deleted the view, the sheet and started over. Still not responding.

Any ideas?

I am using 6.0.2.8 on Dell with windows XP OS

Are you setting the view Preferences BEFORE you create the view or are you creating the view and then selecting it using MB3 to get to the Style option dialog to make your changes?

I am creating the view first. Placing it and scaling it. Then using 3rd MB to get to the style dialog and attempting to turn off hidden lines. I have done this countless times without difficulty.

I did create an exploded view in the model and it was one of the views that would not respond. Also the assembly was constrainted at an angle to the viewing plane. I zeroed out the value of the angle. I am about to turn that constaint off or delete it to see if it has any impact.

Make sure that the Components of the Assembly are set to the 'Model' Reference Set and NOT the 'Facet' Reference Set.

John,

That appears to have been the problem.

Thank you

Note that in NX 7.5, even if your Assembly model is being displayed using Lightweight Representations, when you create a Drawing of that Assembly using the Master Model approach, the system will automatically adjust what is being used by the Drawing so that the views look correct, even as the original Assembly remains in its 'Lightweight' mode. Until then, the user will be responsible for making sure that the Assembly model is not using Lightweight Reference Sets before the Drawing file is created.
