Hi there,

my simulation result of crack shows with exaggerate element, as shown in the image:

already click the element deletion, STATUS.

Any suggestions to it?

So you requested output of STATUS variable but is it selected in Result —> Field Output —> Status Variable —> Use status variable ? If yes, check the damage state of these elements. Which damage criterion do you use ?

I selected Result —> Field Output —> Status Variable —> Use status， remain the same problem

 

[FEA way]

Plot DUCTCRT and STATUS variables for these elements:
- DUCTCRT - a value of 1 means that damage initiation criterion has been met
- STATUS - a value of 0 means that the element is inactive

Also check what happens to these (and surrounding) elements during analysis, as fracture progresses.
