Dear colleagues,
I'm developing an abaqus model for a metal - composite single lapped bolted joint. I'm modeling each composite ply by using the composite layup function.. my model is solid 3D and I'm using 3D brick elements, with four layers in each element.
The problem is that when I look at the results in a single ply (display groups --> elements --> composite plies) strange things happen, as you can see in the bottom part of the attached picture, where I'm visualizing the stress in direction 1.
Can you explain me why?? how can I fix this problem?
Many thanks in advance,
Simone
