There over 25,000 members of this forum, and over 55,000 members of the official SW forum at
So how come there are so few votes cast in the Ideas section?

Approx 500 Ideas have been submitted (which is good), but the current top idea has only 117 votes (which is pathetic).

At a guess, I would say less than 200 people have bothered to participate. Is it apathy? Are so many people ignorant of the Top Ten Ideas concept? Or is it shear laziness?

We are being given a direct opportunity to influence (even it is a PR gimmick) which functions of SW should be created or enhanced. That opportunity should not be wasted.

I can't login to the SW site, although I pay maintenance.
I have tried for a couple years to get help from SW and my VAR, I guess they don't know how to update my info.
They gave up on me, therefore I gave up on their forums, etc.
Otherwise I would participate in the ideas.

Why not just create a new account?

You don't even need a current subscription to create an account. I don't know if that applies to the Ideas section though.

Are you able to access the Customer Portal?
Have you tried creating a Guest account?
If that works try upgrading the account via the Register My Products section.

No.
Yes.
Tried.

The email I tried in the past, this company and two others, will not allow me to login.
SW and my VAR tell me it has been fixed, but still does not work.

I recently received a new work email account.
I will try with this new email.

CBL.
I submitted 5 ideas and hardly received any votes. I did get a few good comments. Nice thing that they have this year is you can see who voted on your ideas, and shows how they voted.

If you would like to see my ideas, here are the links:

Like CBL mentioned, this is where SW users can be heard!

If you have more than 1 account, SW website blocks the user from logging in. Not by choice, but because it knows you have 2 accounts. Unfortunately your VAR has to contact SW to fix the problem, or you can call SW to have them fix the problem.

When SW support explains to you that you need to contact your VAR, then you explain to them you have and they have not go back in touch with me... blah, blah, blah. Bascially it black flags the VAR and they can dinged by SW and of course the flag travels downward to the support rep, which should have done the job in the first place. So provide any information you can to SW to make sure the responsbile person remembers next time something like this happens again.

Whenever I try following those links, my browser ends up in a loop talking to the login server, the forum server, the login server ...

I can log in and get to the forums, but I did not see an obvious route to the idea voting area. Can any of you tell me where to find it?

Eric

The Ideas link is a small light bulb icon at the top LH corner of the page, just below the Search field.

Jeff,

Your not suppose to be able to.

I have been to the site and I have voted and placed a my idea out there, that I have been having problems with time and time again.
