Wall thickness calcs using victaulic couplings

I am carrying out code wall thickness calcs for piping that has victaulic couplings.

The coupling grooves in the pipe will be rolled not cut, so no material is removed from the pipe.

Do I need to allow for the depth of the groove when I calculate the minimum wall thickness required? The piping material is very expensive, and allowing the extra wall thickness makes a big difference.

Becht's "Process Piping Complete Guide To ASME B31.3" says "Roll grooving does not remove material from the pipe and therefore need not be considered in the allowances in pressure design."
