Hi,
I have a component that is effectively a conical tube, into which a solid cone seats.
The internal cone has a load on it which is trying to pull it through the narrow end of the outer conical tube.
The outer conical tube has a threaded insert to anchor it at the larger end.
I'm trying to calculate to wall thickness required in the outer component to resist the inner cone pulling through.
Both components are metallic, internal cone angle 8deg.
Thanks
Tim
