Hello !
I'm looking for very simple, low-cost PC software that might help me to design a simple motor control circuit and control panel. The intended use is to drive and control a small converting machine. A typical motor would be a 1/2 to 1 hp AC (or DC equivalent) with standard controls for start, stop, e-stops (2 or 3), forward jog, and speed ramp-up that are remotely operated (hard-wired in a panel) from an inverter with these functions.

This is a fairly simple and straight-forward application, but I do not have the budget to pay for professional design and all new parts. Nor am I a professional engineer -- just somewhat experienced with the apparati and application. I'd like to plug in different variable based on the motors and other useful equipment that I'm able to obtain at auctions, rather than conforming to a rigid design specification.

Thanks for your consideration,

John Lyman
