I am working in a 3PL bidding environment with need for estimating labor costs in a very tight time window. Given the variability of the customer requirements and the large number of proposals we process, we need a better estimating tool for various warehouse processes, based on standards. I have looked at some MTM work but it is far too intricate for the work we do. As an example:

time to unload trailer with LPG truck (known) + time to stretch wrap (known) + time to identify and pick sample case (unknown) = customer inbound process

Can anyone suggest a reference book, site, or software that could be used to build a rough standard quickly for new options in our existing operations?
