Hello,
For my 4th year Water Engineering coursework I have been asked to design a water waste treatment plant for the area of my choice.
I have chosen to design a traditional wastewater treatment system for a region within a city (pop. ~40,000) that requires sludge treatment and disposal.
I have the book "Wastewater treatment concepts and design approach" and have been trying to work through that, however the only information I have been given for the project is the BOD5 and SS levels over 24 hours. Its my understanding that I need to obtain the actual water flow for the plant but I'm unsure how to do this.
Any advice on how to do this (or relevant advice for the rest of the system) would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Kyle.
interval BOD5 (g/m3) TSS (g/m3)
12-2 144 155
2-4 109 127
4-6 96 99
6-8 129 149
8-10 205 229
10-12 255 295
12-2 240 264
2-4 219 242
4-6 217 236
6-8 248 279
8-10 278 310
