greetings to all,
while reviewing a survey for the design of external drainage system for airport terminal building, have come across the water canons placed under the passenger loading bridges. I have designed fire networks before but only external fire hydrants. when i checked the related NFPA standards then i found that " the aircraft loading bridge shall be protected by automatic fire suppression system either fixed water spray type or fixed foam type for fire protection of passenger loading bridges" it is also mentioned that these shall activate automatically with minimum discharge duration of 5 minutes.
Can anyone please explain where i can find details procedure to design these water canons or such system and what are minimum requirements such as pressure, flow. size and durations etc.

Regards

In the NFPA Standard for aircraft loading walkways. See NFPA 415.

Dear Stookeyfpe,
I coated the sentences above from NFPA 415 itself. what I didn't find in NFPA is the design requirements such as pressure, flow, size etc. for canon system.

Thanks for your reply.
