Water sorption in Polyimide (Kapton)

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has the following material constants for polyimide (Kapton)
1. Moisture absorption at 85C/85%RH
2. Diffusivity at 85C/85%RH

The most likely place to find that information is from the suppliers. You may also try

http://www.matweb.com

and perhaps the CAMPUS database. It is quite specific data and not so common so you may find that no-one has measured it though.

I would guess DuPont would have some information as they make the stuff..........

Hi,

Ask for a Kapton datasheet from your supplyer... that'll have all the information you need on it... and more.
