Hello all,

I have a project where the fire pump water supply is from a pond. Is this permitted? What code covers this area? NFPA 20? In addition, do I have to monitor the level of this pond, if I do should I do so with pressure on the inlet of the pump rather than a floatation device (like on a tank).

Thanks Again!

Start with NFPA 20 and be sure to review Chapter 5 of NFPA 24.
