Hello guys,
I am trying to design a water-retaining tank and I know that it has to be designed in the working stress method. I was wondering if there are any good books or reads that anyone can share that would be helpful.
thanks and regards,
Satya

Since the Canadian code and the US code are quite compatible, I'll look into ACI, PCA, PCI for the design of reinforced concrete water retention tanks, and seek guidances from AWWA.

I agree with r13 on the likely dearth of Canadian tank references. My wife, who is a structural engineer in Canada, does a lot of tank design and leans heavily on both US and British reference materials. Much of tank design is about serviceability. And that is, conveniently, mostly left to the designer with respect to design methods.

The Canadian A23.3 code refers to the ACI 350r standard for liquid containing structures.
