Lutfi - Per US Army COE USGF, for exposed structural components minimum applied dry density is 22 Lb/Cu Ft (Paragraph 2.1.1.2)

Minimum average thickness is 0.375 inches (Paragraph 3.4.4)

Works out to 0.69 Lb/Sq Ft (minimum)

Slide Rule,

Many thanks! I was going to estimate about 3 psf and wait to verify.

Thanks again

Lutfi....depends on whether cementitious or non-cementitious binder.

If cementitious (Grace Monokote or similar), should be between about 22 and 28 pcf. If non-cementitious(Cafco Blazeshield or similar), will be between about 12 and 15 pcf.
