Hello NewPiping,

I do not think I understand your question.

The weights of pipe supports are provided by the manufacturer's catalog.

The weights and areas of steel pipe are provided by many reference books (e.g., the NAVCO Datalog).

I suspect that is not what you are asking for so could you please rephrase your question?

Regards, John.

I think new piping wants to know the weight of pipeshoes and surface area to calculate the cost of steel and painting,
I have some tables from piping- and chemical companies.
Is there no engineer in your neighbourhood with a table of this?

Greetings

Yes europipe you are right. I need to calculate the weight of inline pipe supports (eg. shoes, guides, guesset supports, etc) fabricated based on the standard piping details & its painting area for my job. I m not familiar with the calculation so i thought if there is any formula or software could use for these?

No there is no formula,
there are only tables.
Don't know how You can get these,
maybe You can look on the internetsite of lisega or hesterberg for weights.
Most big companies have them too(dow, shell etc)
maybe by googling?

succes.
