Codeware has established this forum to foster open discussion of issues relating to use of our COMPRESS pressure vessel design software. We are sponsoring this space to provide a moderated forum for users to discuss technical and design issues. We also welcome user feedback regarding suggestions for software development, such as desirable new program features.

We invite COMPRESS users to provide their own solutions to any questions that may be raised. Codeware monitors the group and may also reply to issues. Great idea Tom.

I use the program frequently and really like the VDP part.

Some possible new features...jacket-half pipe design and lifing trunnions.

Looking forward to gaining some new insights.

This should provide a good place to get a user perspective on items like MDMT check for vacuum stiffening rings and saddle bands to suggestions for new features like conventional jackets.

2nd the trunion suggestion, we use those more frequently now on larger vessels. Half pipe jackets would be welcome as well.

Guys,

Thank you for your support and suggestions. Many COMPRESS features have been added at the request of users over the years.

Regarding Lifting/turning trunnions: These are definitely on our development list for a future release. I can't guarantee when these will be added but we do plan to add them.
