Weld Designation Question

I'm reviewing a sketch that shows the field welds in the normal manner but designates the shop welds as ".035 Flux Core". I can hazard a guess as to what this might mean but overall I'm not familiar with this terminology. Before I make them revise it to more normal nomenclature I thought I'd ask if this is something others here have had experience with. Thanks.

0.035 flux core is NOT a weld size, but is a wire feed weld wire size. It can be used (with suitable training and a qualified weld procedure) to make many different sizes and shapes of actual welds.
