Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and also relatively new to the industry, where I work as a Jr.Piping Materials Engineer.

I need to calculate the pipe thickness for Titanium material, specifically ASTM B861 Grade 2, as per ASME B31.3. To do this, I need to determine the value of W, the Weld Joint Strength Reduction Factor, from Table 302.3.5 (for normal ASTM Materials). However, I’m facing difficulty because titanium is not listed in this table. Can anyone guide me on how to proceed with determining this value for titanium material?

Thank you! and
