We have large stainless steel door subframe to be fixed to a rc frame. The detail calls for some kind of cast in fixing (which was not cast-in).
The fabricator says that it is common to drill and grout some steel rebar dowels then weld them to the ss frame.
Is this normal? Can ms and ss be welded without damaging the props and appearence of the steel.?
How do you guys fix heavy ss doors to concrete frames? The contractor told me that they rarely use cast in fixtures since they will move during casting?
NB
